San Giovanni Battista with the very rare "Olio di Colletorto" was founded in 1968 by a group of olive grove owners with a common goal – a fully controlled chain from farm to table.

Colletorto is a small village at the foot of small mountains in the Molise region, where they have cultivated the ancient olive variety "Oliva Nera di Colletorto." It is a variety that is several hundred years old and now thrives in this area where it was first discovered. The variety is very harmonious with mild and balanced flavor notes of olive and herbs. It is grown sustainably and with respect for the soil and the area.
