In the middle of the Subbética Natural Park, near Cordoba in Andalusia in southern Spain, we find the olive oil producer Knolive. The mountainous area is covered in ancient olive trees and is known for its quality. Here, a small train once ran between the olive groves for a distance of 58 kilometers, but today the train tracks are used to indicate routes where you can walk and cycle in the scenic surroundings.

All olives are harvested by hand, as it is impossible to do it any other way due to the hilly terrain.

Knolive was created in 2013 by two brothers who had a vision to create nothing less than the world's best extra virgin olive oil. And they are already well on their way, because their oils have garnered great recognition. We have selected their organic oil, which won 3rd prize in its category at the Mario Solinas Awards, and Epicure, which was number 6 in the EVOO world ranking in 2017 and number 1 in 2018. 2023/24 winner of Platinum in LIOOC.
